A simple nature walk can become a rich learning experience with just a little intention.

Try turning your next outdoor time into a nature treasure hunt. You might look for:

• Something smooth and something rough
• Three different shades of green
• A feather, leaf, or stone that feels interesting
• Signs of animals (tracks, nests, nibbled leaves)
• Something that makes you curious

Children can draw what they find, label it, or simply talk about their discoveries afterwards. There’s no right or wrong — just noticing the world more closely.
